"The staff at OxaCare are wonderful looking after my Mum. She is well looked after and she loves it there. Plenty of activities for her to do which she loves. The staff always keep me updated with Mum which I'm grateful for."

We believe in compassion, dignity and optimism

Oxa Care has been running for nearly four decades now, and we know without a doubt that those three qualities are the foundation of aged care. Some of our clients are of sound mind and body, while others live with various comorbidities — but all deserve to live with dignity. We have spent the decades developing our skills, therapies and facilities to care for our residents to the very best of our abilities. We’ll be honoured to care for you or your loved one, too.

Community is everything

Our warm staff and warmer residents will make sure you settle in just fine.

Resident-centred care

To give you the best life possible, we’ll gladly adapt our services to meet your unique needs.

We tailor our aged-care massage therapies to you

Our massage therapists are trained in a number of techniques, including some designed specifically for the elderly.

  • Deep tissue massages are an excellent therapy for loosening tight muscles and joints.
  • Swedish massage is a less rigorous massage that helps clients relax and release tension
  • Arthritic massages are extremely gently and help relieve pain in the hands, feet and small joints
  • Chair massages are perfect for those with mobility issues that prevent them from lying face down on a massage table

Frequently asked questions

If you’d like to learn more about our in-home massage services, we can put you in touch with our allied health professionals.

Is aged care massage safe?

Yes, massages are perfectly safe for elderly clients. At Oxa Care, we will conduct a thorough physical assessment before offering you massage therapy. We want to be absolutely sure that our massages are the right therapy for you before we begin a session.

How should an elderly person prepare for a massage?

Prior to your massage, we will conduct a physical assessment and consult with your medical team to determine treatment goals and risks. Apart from that, you don’t have to do a thing — just sit back and relax.
