Our commitment to every resident

We take the time to get to know you, what matters to you, and how you like to live, so your care feels truly personal.

Celebrating 3 years of quality care

Feeling at home starts with feeling understood

Moving into aged care can bring a lot of change, for you and the people who love you. That’s why we take the time to understand who you are, not simply what support you need.

From the routines that make your day feel familiar to your favourite foods, cultural preferences and the things you enjoy, what matters to you helps shape life and care at Oxa Care.

Here for you today, and as things change

Good care isn’t set in stone. We get to know what matters to you from the beginning and remain responsive as your needs, preferences and circumstances evolve.

Getting to know you from the start

Before shaping your care, we take time to understand your needs and what matters to you. If you choose, your family or supporters can share the routines, preferences, cultural traditions and personal details that help us make your care feel familiar.

Continuing to put you first

What you need today may not be what you need tomorrow. Our commitment is to keep the resident at the centre, bringing together skilled care staff and allied health professionals to support a positive, well-rounded care experience.

The little things that make care personal

Resident-centred care is more than a philosophy. It’s in how we listen, plan and work together to understand what makes each resident feel comfortable, respected and at home.

Care planned around you

Your care begins with an in-depth assessment, helping us develop an individual plan that reflects your needs, preferences and goals.

Involving the people you choose

You can involve family members, supporters or representatives in your care. We respect your wishes about their involvement.

The right people around you

Care staff and allied health professionals work together to support your individual care and everyday life.

Doing what’s right for residents

Trust is built through more than kind words. We take our responsibilities seriously, with clear standards and practices that keep residents’ needs, dignity and wellbeing at the centre.

Staying connected to our wider community

Being part of Oxa Care means staying connected to the community beyond our home. Residents and team members contribute through local partnerships, fundraising, volunteering and support for organisations that bring people together.

  • Residents create and sell handmade items, with proceeds donated to local charities and community causes.
  • Residents and team members volunteer their time through activities such as soup kitchens and grocery collections.
  • Our local partnerships help us stay connected with Melbourne’s Macedonian community and its cultural traditions.
  • We support community sports clubs, including Preston Lions, Lalor United Sloga and FC Bulleen Lions.
  • Fundraising, volunteering and community activities give residents meaningful ways to contribute and stay connected.

Meeting recognised aged care standards

Our home operates in accordance with Australia’s aged care requirements, with recognised standards that provide independent accountability.
